Alexander Dunn

Alexander is passionate about the ability of economics and policy to effect positive change. Naturally curious and data driven, Alexander is able to deconstruct complex problems to deliver robust solutions.

Since joining Aither in April 2017, Alexander has worked on projects in the natural resource, agricultural and water markets sectors. These include asset valuations, acquisition due diligence and strategic investment advice for a range of Australian and international private sector clients.

Prior to joining Aither, Alexander spent his early professional career with professional services firm Deloitte Australia. Here he was exposed to a vast array of assurance and advisory projects across the private, not for profit and government sectors. This saw him gain a range of valuable skills in economic modelling, problem solving, and financial analysis.

Throughout his time with Deloitte, Alexander worked extensively with a portfolio of high profile clients, across the agricultural, retail and manufacturing industries. Alexander assisted in the initial public offering process and half year review of an ASX listed agricultural company. In addition, he has assessed the valuations of material assets and investments for foreign listed corporations, such as timber mills, mines and intellectual property.

In 2016 Alexander graduated from the University of Oxford having completed a two-year research project into Australian industrial policy and its implementation between 1940 and 1970. This has provided Alexander with exceptional research, critical analysis and data gathering skills which enable him to draw seemingly disparate components into a coherent picture.

When confronted with a complex problem Alexander’s broad skill set allows him to consider an issue from multiple approaches in order to deliver valuable and insightful solutions.
