Daniel Baker

When it comes to policy, Daniel takes a highly disciplined approach – literally. Trained in interdisciplinary studies, he draws on his wide-ranging knowledge of the environment, international relations and economics to think broadly about policy implications.

With a keen interest in the role that political factors play in influencing environmental policy, Daniel has considerable experience in the areas of emissions trading, infrastructure and regional development.

Since joining Aither in 2013, Daniel has made a significant contribution to several major projects, including the Third Independent Review of the Product Stewardship (Oil) Act 2000.

Before joining Aither, Daniel gained experience at the Australian Public Service over two years, where he worked with a wide range of stakeholders on regional, rural and local government projects. These included multi-million dollar infrastructure upgrades, as well as funding grants for improving community facilities.

Sharp-minded, inquisitive and diligent, Daniel brings another dimension of discipline to the Aither team.
