Justin Story

Trained in environmental engineering, science, finance, and business administration, Justin is driven to find solutions that deliver tangible outcomes. His interdisciplinary approach to problem solving provides for considered strategic advice and innovative solutions.

Justin has over a decade of experience working in water and irrigated agriculture in Australia and internationally. He also offers strong skills and experience in strategy and performance, corporate governance and public policy. Justin brings a detailed understanding of Western Australia and its unique challenges and opportunities.

Prior to joining Aither, Justin worked on major irrigated agricultural infrastructure initiatives; led business reform, management and strategy in the public sector; provided water and irrigated agricultural market research for the investment management industry; and, advised the Western Australian Minister for Water; Sport and Recreation; Forestry on water policy, finance and governance including a focus on major irrigated agricultural expansion initiatives and the water services industry.

Justin is passionate about the intersectoral opportunities presented by trends in sustainable finance, corporate water stewardship and investment management. Prior to joining Aither Justin undertook research into these areas, with a focus on impact investing, based in San Francisco.

Justin has numerous qualifications including Environmental Engineering for which his honours thesis focussed on new methods in decision making for water catchment management was awarded the Centre for Groundwater Studies Honours Prize.
