Nick has more than 12 years’ experience in the water and resources sectors, often with an environmental focus. Driven by natural curiosity and a desire to identify ‘triple bottom line’ solutions to major challenges, he has a methodical and pragmatic approach to problem-solving that is underpinned by a background in environmental engineering. He has prepared reports, strategies, plans and policy documents for a range of audiences, addressing issues ranging from water supply to performance evaluation of utility services.

Nick’s technical grounding is complemented by a strong knowledge of economic evaluation and an ability to communicate complex information in easily understood terms. Using this blend of skills, he works to deliver strategically focused advice on a wide range of issues. His experience in the public sector, industry and consulting contributes to his capacity to effectively pinpoint our clients’ practical needs.

Before joining Aither, Nick was a Senior/Principal Environmental Engineer at AECOM Australia, a global provider of infrastructure services, where he established himself as a leading practitioner in Integrated Water Management (IWM). He has also gained an international perspective in previous roles in the UK and south-east Asia. Nick began his career at Melbourne Water.
