Ryan Gormly

As a highly experienced consultant and public policy professional with a multidisciplinary background in economics and the environment, Ryan is known for his analytical and critical thinking, exacting approach, and clear and practical advice.

Specialising in water – but with substantial experience in natural resources, the environment, agriculture, waste, and recycling – Ryan has delivered programs and provided strategic advice across a broad range of policy areas.

Ryan has led the research, analysis and report writing for a wide range of Aither projects, including on water markets, water reform, urban water infrastructure, asset management, environmental water, product stewardship, regional development, and international development.

Prior to joining Aither, Ryan managed urban and rural water work programs at the National Water Commission where he also delivered flagship reports on water markets and climate change policy. This added another dimension to his substantial experience in state and local government policy, built during earlier roles with the Victorian Government and City of Melbourne.

Never one to accept a ‘near-enough’ answer, Ryan strives for the best and pulls out all stops to achieve it.
