Get to know

Peter Corish has been actively involved in Australian agriculture since 1973, starting on the family farm in central NSW. Peter is now Chairman of the Corish Group where he manages family-owned farming assets producing cotton, grain, oilseed, sheep and cattle.

Peter has been a Non-Executive Director and member of the Audit Risk and Compliance Committee for Infrastructure Australia since 2014 and also acted as the Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee for Waterfind between 2015-2018. Previously, Peter was the President of the National Farmers Federation (NFF), where he led the NFF in negotiations with the Commonwealth Government and State Governments to develop the National Water Initiative (2004) and was later appointed by the Commonwealth Government to the National Water Commission (2005-2009). Peter was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia in 2009 for his services to the agriculture sector and was awarded the Centenary Medal in 2003 for his contribution to agricultural trade reform.
