Matthew is an analyst with strong research and facilitation skills, who is passionate about understanding complex systems and the ways in which effective policy can address social and environmental problems.

Matthew is highly adept at understanding environmental and social issues and uses his strong writing and communication skills to deliver relevant and focused advice and research. Matthew has international experience working in South-east Asia, and has also developed facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills from his teaching and research work in the university sector.

Before joining Aither, Matthew worked in research and teaching at the Australian National University, where his research primarily focused on sustainability governance across various contexts. Matthew also undertook internships in an environmental consultancy in Lao PDR, and with MP, Dr. Andrew Leigh.

Matthew believes in building genuine relationships with all he works with, in order to work collaboratively towards better outcomes for communities and the environment.
