Get to know

Peta has worked for more than 20 years in both the government and private sectors; primarily in the water sector. She is also a non-executive director at Southern Rural Water (Victoria).  At Southern Rural Water, she is the chair of the Asset Governance Committee and a member of the Remuneration and People and Culture Committees.

Peta has undertaken a number of leadership roles in the Victorian water industry including as independent chair of the Interdepartmental Reference Group which guided the development of the 2018 Victorian Rural Drainage Strategy. Peta was a former member of the Victorian Catchment Management Council which culminated in the release of the 2018 Catchment Condition and Management Report.  She is a past Victorian Branch President for the Australian Water Association and a past non-executive director of Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water where she chaired a newly formed Water Resources Committee.

Peta has worked for a number of Australian water authorities including Coliban Water, Melbourne Water and Western Water in diverse roles spanning management to strategy and planning to stakeholder engagement and operations.  She specialises in providing advice to senior decision-makers on strategic water issues and stakeholder engagement particularly around complex policy and strategy development and implementation to government across the water industry.
